Polymeric sanding locks interlock and paver joints back down once regular sand washes out. We pressure wash the joints clean, let the surface dry, then brush in fresh polymeric sand and set it with water so it hardens in place, stopping weeds, ants and shifting stones. More on polymeric sanding.
