No, when it is done right. Pavers, concrete, brick and stone are built to take a proper pressure wash, and that is exactly why the industry exists in the first place. The risk only shows up when someone uses pressure that is too aggressive for the specific surface or gets too close to it, which is a technique problem, not a reason to avoid the process altogether, and it is exactly the kind of mistake proper training and experience on real properties is meant to prevent.
How we match pressure and method to the surface
We match the pressure and technique to whatever we are cleaning. Concrete and stone can take higher pressure, so driveways, patios and walkways get washed at a level that properly lifts years of buildup. What cleaning reveals that was already there
A wash removes dirt and grime, and in doing so it can also make existing damage more visible than it was under a layer of buildup. Cracked stones, peeling paint, or chalky siding that was hidden under years of grime can look more obvious once the surface is clean, and a freshly cleaned section can also make the untouched area right next to it look worse by comparison until that gets done too. None of that is new damage caused by the wash, it is existing wear that the dirt was simply covering up.
What we are responsible for, and what we are not
We are responsible for using the right pressure and method for your surface, and if we break something through our own negligence, we sort it. What we are not responsible for is damage that already existed before we arrived, like pre existing cracks, loose mortar, failing sealant on a deck or surface, deteriorated wood, or any defect that simply was not visible until the dirt covering it was gone.

When we would recommend a soft wash instead
If a surface is already showing signs of wear, like flaking paint or wood that is starting to splinter, that is exactly the kind of property where we would choose a soft wash over higher pressure, even on a surface that might normally take more force. We would rather adjust the method than risk the surface, and we will tell you on the visit if that is the call for your property. How we work to avoid causing damage in the first place
We knock or text when we arrive, then walk the entire area before we start so we know exactly what we are working with, including anything you have already flagged to us on the quote. We are fully insured on every job without you having to ask, and if we do break something through our own negligence while we are there, we sort it, no argument about it.
As we work, we keep the edges rinsed so nothing runs onto a neighbour's property, and before we leave we walk the whole job with you one more time. If something is not sitting right with you, we deal with it on the spot rather than leaving you to notice it after we have already packed up and gone.
If something still looks off after we leave
Even with a walkthrough at the end of every job, sometimes something only becomes obvious once a surface has fully dried or once you have had a day to look at it properly. If that happens, tell us within 48 hours and we come back and redo the affected area. That covers our workmanship. It does not extend to damage that was already there before we started, or to stains that genuinely will not come out, which we would have flagged to you honestly on the day if we saw them.
If a job is not right, that is on us and we come back, plain and simple. We would rather fix it than have you living with a result you are not happy with.
